Facial
Facelift
Repositions deeper facial tissue to soften the visible signs of aging without an overly tightened appearance.
Overview
A facelift addresses the sagging that occurs in the midface, jawline, and neck as skin and deeper support structures loosen over time. We work at the level of the underlying tissue rather than pulling skin alone, which produces a more durable and natural-looking result. This is a significant procedure, and we spend real time discussing whether it, or a less invasive option, fits your goals and timeline.
What to expect
The journey
- 01
Consultation and facial mapping
We assess skin quality, bone structure, and areas of laxity to determine which technique best addresses your concerns.
- 02
Pre-operative clearance
Bloodwork and a medical history review confirm you're a safe candidate for extended anesthesia.
- 03
Procedure day
Surgery generally runs three to five hours, often combined with neck lift or eyelid work if agreed in planning.
- 04
First follow-up
Drains and initial dressings are removed within the first few days, and we check incisions closely.
Afterward
Recovery
- 01
Week 1
Swelling and bruising are most pronounced; most patients take this week fully off work and social obligations.
- 02
Weeks 2–3
Sutures are removed and most visible bruising resolves; many return to light routines with makeup coverage.
- 03
1–6 months
Firmness and residual swelling continue to soften, with incision lines fading progressively.
